Things you've Missed in 2017 so far
Here's some of what you have missed in 2017 - to give you a flavour of what goes on.
Following 21 days of prayer, at our Vision meeting in January, we reaffirmed our intention to be a Bible-centred church where people are welcomed and loved and encouraged to grow in faith and use their gifts to the glory of God. We adopted as our focus for 2017 the phrase "work on the welcome".
Messy Church looked at the story of Samuel and thought about how we can listen to God, followed by Shepherd's Pie and peas.
We had a Worship Night for youth, with the Big Weekend band and the massed voices of young people from around the area. Awesome.
We had an evening of games and a Jacob's Join supper, for no real reason other than that we had not done one for a while.
A group painted one of the upstairs rooms and added the largest world map in Brookhouse. Probably.
Messy Church learned about the parables of a treasure in a field and the pearl of great price, followed by Tuna Pasta Bake.
We welcomed Rob Cotton to speak on one weekend, and Barry Woodward on another. Both were recorded, so if you want to hear what they said then please get in touch.
Messy Church thought about "Giving Jesus the best", followed by burger and chips.
At the end of April we celebrated Firefest - a weekend of services focusing on worship and holiness. This included an ice-cream cafe.
